We have set some dates for our Family Fish Days that Covid 19 permitting will go ahead the dates are as follows
10 am till 2pm

To all our members,
Following the escalation of the Covid-19 virus, the club has a responsibility to follow government guide lines regarding social distancing. Therefore all committee meetings, “Family Fish Days” and organised working parties are to be cancelled until further notice, effective immediately.
Any matters arising can be dealt with by e-mail or phone.
The Senior Match programme will be risk assessed and reviewed on a match to match basis by Match Secretary, Nick Sutton.
Difficult times ahead I fear!

Family Fish days 2020
This year we are running our very successful Free Family Fish days. These are a great opportunity for you to try fishing or refresh your memory.
Just turn up and have ago. These are the dates as follows.
Sunday 29th March 2020 10am till 2pm Cancelled
Sunday 26th April 2020 10am till 2pm Cancelled
Sunday 31st May 2020 10am till 2pm Cancelled
Sunday 28th June 2020 10am till 2pm
Sunday 26th July 2020 10am till 2pm
Sunday 30th August 2020 10am till 2pm
Sunday 27th September 2020 10am till 2pm

All will be held @ Carlston Hill Farm Ponds Paddock House Lane Sicklinghall

We are also holding two evening events at Wetherby Sports Association Lodge Lane ls22 5fn
On: Wednesday 22nd of July and Wednesday 26th of August 2020 7pm till 10pm.
These will again be free and a chance to learn how to tie hooks, Rigs and float set ups along with anything else we can help with.
All equipment and bait proved free by Wetherby & District Angling Club and Bobco Tackle Leeds .

Saturday the 2nd of November we have are doing Maintenance on the ponds at sicklinghall if you can spare an hour or two please meet us there at 10.30 am

Our AGM on November the 27th 8PM start at Wetherby Sports Association.

Ponds are still fishing well with the Tench and Crucian showing well as well as the Roach and Skimmers with the ever faithful Rudd always there.
River is fishing well too with Dace, Chub, Trout, Barbel all making an appearance.

The club has been busy with family fish days and bank maintenance.
​
Family fish days have been a great success with three more planned in August 11TH ,18TH, 25th and the 1st of September if anyone would like to get involved and help with these days please email the club with your details and we will be in touch.

Yorkshire Sports Emporium has moved from Decoporium Thorp Arch trading est to Discount feeds in Wetherby.

Discount Feeds now has Bait which now includes: Maggots, Worms, Caster. Also 3foot twitch specialist baits Nutrabaits and Evolved baits, and a Selection of fly's so give both a visit

The Ponds continue to fish well with good catches of silvers and the Crucians and Tench now being caught.
​
Don't forget to check the Match diary for up and coming matches we have the Saturday still water matches and the up and coming evening matches.

We will again be holding some family fish days this year dates to be confirmed.

The Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 21st of November 2018.
