Hi All

Just a few things

  • We have all been asked by the EA to report on their 0800-incident hotline. Any reports of Top mouthed Gudgeon.

  •  A ifnd any weirs, culverts that are blocked by debris or other obstacles.

  • And finally, for those on and around the Aire and Calder Canal. Following complaints regarding the HS2 sand barge killing fish. There is a meeting planned over the coming weeks with the EA, C&RT, AT VBS, AC Marine Aggregates, and the barge owners. It will coincide when the barge is fully laden so that we can follow it and monitor any fish killed/injured.

Hi All

We will update you all with the clubs stance asap Please note all club waters are still closed for now.

Please be patient with us.

Stay safe

12/04/2020

Dear Members,

As you’ll no doubt be aware, WADAC is a member of the Angling Trust. Our membership includes our club Insurance.

The Angling Trust advocate that all member clubs follow Government Covid-19 rules to stay at home unless your journey is vital or exercise, and angling has not been determined as either of those.

Therefore all club waters are closed until further notice.

We will continue to take a lead from the Angling Trust, and when the rules are eventually relaxed, rest assured we will follow suit.

Our Riparian Owners are aware of our position, and being farmers they are obviously still permitted to work their land. Our formal Bailiffs are also allowed to monitor our waters to ensure there is no fishing. Both have the right to report rule breaking directly to the Police, so please don’t flaunt them.

It’s better to be patient - than become a Patient!

Stay safe. Your cooperation is appreciated.

WACAC Committee

25/03/2020

Hi All

Due to the the current situation and until we are told other wise please note all club waters are now closed until further notice.

As soon as the situation changes we will let you know.

So use this time to your advantage clean your gear , clear the shed , make rigs , sell your unused gear or give to a friend and encourage them to take it up.

Please stay safe and stay in the sooner we all follow the guidelines the sooner we will be fishing.

To all our members,

Following the escalation of the Covid-19 virus, the  club has  a responsibility to  follow government guide lines regarding social distancing. Therefore all committee meetings, “Family Fish Days” and organised working parties are to  be cancelled until further notice, effective immediately.

Any matters arising can be dealt with by e-mail or  phone.

The Senior Match programme will be risk assessed and reviewed on a match to match basis by  Match Secretary, Nick Sutton.

Difficult times ahead I fear!
