River Wharfe:

​

Collingham - South Bank from Linton Bridge downstream to Collingham Wood.

Excellent shallow water fishing for Chub, Barbel, Dace, Grayling, Perch and Trout.

There are some large Pike about as well. We even had a few Carp caught as well.

Wetherby Ings - Downstream from Collingham Wood to the swimming baths.

Mixture of deep and shallow water containing mixed fish species (as Collingham) plus Roach and Gudgeon with the odd Carp. DAY TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE From:

Wetherby Gregory - Weirpool to old A1 bridge (both banks).

This section is an aquarium. Species as above. MEMBERS ONLY-NO DAY TICKETS.

Wetherby Grange - Sewage Works Bank: Left bank downstream from Old A1 bridge down to sewage works lower limit fence .

Wetherby Grange - Grange Park Bank: Right bank downstream from Old A1 bridge to stables. Also behind stables down into Gunter Wood.

Predominantly Barbel, Perch, Dace, Grayling, Bream, Ruffe and Chub. MEMBERS ONLY-NO DAY TICKETS.

Fly Fishing:

We have many pools and glides all along our controlled waters that are great for the fly fisherman from Collingham to Wetherby. There is a large head of Grayling and Trout to be had on the fly along with Dace and Chub that take. Maybe have a  try for the Pike and Perch with the fly.

Sections of the navigation from the village of Heck down to Goole docks.

Sections:

​

Heck: fishing on the North bank from road bridge in village down to Railway Bridge.

​

Pollington: fishing on south bank from Pollington lock down to junction with New Junction Canal.

​

Beevers Bridge: fishing on north bank from Southfield reservoir down to the New Bridge section.

​

New Bridge Section: New Bridge - continuation of the above length down to the road bridge.

​

Rawcliffe Bridge: various sections on both banks around the village.

​

Goole: both banks above Goole docks at Goole.

​

Ilkley Angling Association Alliance:

 

We have entered a very exciting partnership with Ilkley Angling Association. This will allow limited numbers of members from both clubs to use each others waters free of charge. 

The system will allow two free day tickets per day to be accessed by Wetherby club members to fish any of Ilkley AA's waters which include two ponds are a large stretch of the River Wharfe around Ilkley.

The system will work as follows:

1) Ring or email Mark Craven ,our yearbook secretary, with your name and yearbook number.

2) Your desired date will be confirmed/ denied of it's availability, please give at least 48 hours notice if possible.

3) If your date is confirmed, the Ilkley Angling information will be emailed to you, including maps and regulations etc.

4) On the day of your visit to Ilkley, you must be in possession of your Wetherby yearbook so that their bailiffs can verify your visit.

​

5) This exchange is only available for fully paid members of this club and will not cover any angling guests or Wetherby day ticket holders.
